Complete Pregnancy, Birth & Postpartum – Birth Takes a Village

A more traditional approach to pregnancy and birth, my Complete Pregnancy, Birth & Postpartum Support package embraces a natural, holistic perspective. This package focuses on keeping you healthy and nourished during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.

While the doula services package involves support towards the end of your pregnancy and during your birth, the Complete Pregnancy Birth & Postpartum package focuses on building a personalized relationship with you and supporting your health throughout your pregnancy and postpartum period.

Prenatal Services Included:

  • Monthly prenatal visits to prepare your body and mind you for your upcoming birth
  • Visits include a full prenatal education on birth, breastfeeding and life with a new baby (based on the We Birth At Home curriculum)
  • Nutritional guidance for a healthy pregnancy
  • Stretches and exercises for health pregnancy and birth
  • Herbal support for a nourished pregnancy (including teas, tinctures, and supplements)
  • Personalized herbal remedies where applicable

Birth Services Included:

  • Home birth supplies
  • Use of my professional birthing pool and all pool supplies
  • Attendance of your birth

In our modern, medical birth culture, we often treat birth as if it is a procedure that we require medical professionals to perform. In reality, birth is a normal biological event that the woman’s body goes through – you and your body know how to give birth to your baby! My philosophy is that undisturbed, physiological birth is a truly powerful way to bring your baby into the world. My aim is to support you in being healthy, nourished, and confident so that you can give birth to your baby naturally and in health.

Postpartum Services Included:

  • 4 postpartum visits for support with breastfeeding, and herbal support to nourish your postpartum body and maximize health postpartum. Includes on-call support with early breastfeeding. These visits may consultations with a lactation consultant where applicable.
  • Your choice of EITHER
    • Free placenta encapsulation OR
    • 8 hours of free postpartum doula support

Additional Features:

  • Referrals to consultations with our placenta encapsulators, medicinal herbalists, acupuncturists, lactation consultants, nutritionists, naturopathic doctors where appropriate.
  • Guidance for working with a medical practitioner suited to your needs
  • Support during consultations with medical specialists if necessary
  • Copies of 2 of my favorite educational birth and baby books and an educational birth film
